GENERAL
Paper.
Environmental purchasing
Recycled paper to the highest percentage will be purchased on every occasion unless it is decided that the performance, colour and texture are unsatisfactory for the achievement of a desirable client outcome.
Reduce
To improve on the paper savings staff should commit to the following:
Print setup screens on computers will be set to double sided printing as default
Documents will be electronically edited using tools such as the track changes in Word
Document will be distributed as attachments via email to staff and clients where practicable
Printed copies of documents will only be provided for at meetings when requested

Recycle
Staff are required to recycle their paper via a recycling system organised through their local council responsible for waste collection in Collingwood.
Separate bins which are appropriately labelled are to be placed around the office and are to be emptied at least one day prior to collection.
Electronics.
Environmental purchasing
We use SmilePower from Momentum which means our energy consumption is 100% matched by renewable energy generation.
Reduce
Staff should ensure that when electrical appliances, such as computers, monitors, lights, radios, etc. are not being used, they are turned off.
When purchasing electrical appliances and fittings Ellis Jones will give preference to appliances that have the highest energy efficiency rating.
Recycle
Staff are encouraged to seek out opportunities to recycle any electrical appliances.
